Split
Culms hand-split into strips no thicker than a coin.
Plant-Dye
Colour drawn from indigo, walnut hull or mugwort — no synthetic pigment.
Weave
A single piece takes 4–14 hours of hand-weaving by one named artisan.
Finish
Sealed with plant-based wax, then paired with its second material.
